At École Notre Dame School our students love reading and we strive to create a fun and engaging environment in the Learning Commons. It is so important to keep the Learning Commons stocked with books that will encourage students to develop a lifelong love of reading. As a Principal, nothing is more exciting to me than finding a special book or series that sparks interest in one of our reluctant readers. We need new books to keep our collection current! We are also trying to expand our Canadian Aboriginal selection and support our French catalog as a growing French Immersion school.

I fell in love with books again when I would read nightly to my daughter. From the time she was a baby I read to her before bed. From Good Night Moon and I Love You Forever to the Harry Potter Series, years later. Even when she was in junior high school, we would take the time to enjoy the ...
I like to say that I have the best job at Ecole Notre Dame School... Librarian! I have the privilege of getting to know every single student in our school and nothing satisfies me more than hunting down a book I think a student might enjoy or listening to a student excitedly describe their ...
I am supporting this school not only because I teach here, but also because I used to attend elementary school here as a child! It is incredible to see the changes that have happened over the years. I remember my time in the library fondly, and want the library filled with books to make sure ...
Glad to support students and great books!
The biggest joy I have is watching students grow and learn. As an educator, it warms my heart to see the beginning stages of a student reading with such excitement, joy and confidence with each new word they read. To then see the student at an older age, being moved to laughter and tears ...
