"You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax ALL YOU NEED IS A BOOK!”
Crestview Public School is a treasure of a school. Our students are enthusiastic and insatiable when it comes to reading books. Unfortunately, many of our students rely, solely, on Crestview Public School’s library for their reading materials. I’ve worked at Crestview starting in the fall of 2013 and we have not had a library budget during this period. I try—along with the dedicated classroom teachers—to satisfy our students’ Love of Reading, by swapping used books, bringing in books from our homes, accepting donations, and by going to second-hand stores to buy gently used books (and sometimes not so gently used). Sadly, we often struggle to meet our students’ reading needs. Our goal at Crestview Public School is to encourage our newer and younger students to foster a Love of Reading; surprise our reluctant readers with adventures that are found in books; and build and nuture the journey of reading that our older students have already begun. We believe this can happen when students have the opportunity to hold, in their hands, new and engaging books!
A sincere thank you for your consideration .

Both my girls enjoyed books and still do. They have learned alot from them and this is a great way to spend time.
Reading began the bond with my daughter and myself. She was born premature, and there was times I wasn’t able to even hold her. I would read her Robert Munch books while she was in her NICU bed. She is a healthy nine year old now and loves to read to me.
Reading has always been an important part of my children’s bedtime routine. From the time they were babies and now as grade 6,4 and SK. They look forward each night to a new book and adventure! And now my oldest is reading bedtime stories to my youngest. It’s so nice to watch!
Keep up the Reading Crestview! 😊
Happy reading Crestview! From one of your own.
For all the kids happy 😊 reading.
