As a child I connected most with the stories of Kit Pearson. Stories such as The Sky is Falling, The Daring Game and Looking at the Moon opened a world that I could connect to and learn through. They often highlighted a strong female character who was experiencing the trials and tribulations of coming of age. These stories became my stories, stories that guided me through my formative years of childhood. Every few years I reread these stories, and the lessons I connected with as a child, and they take me back to the narrative that set the stage of my journey. Books change the way in which we view the world, and Kit Pearson's books facilitated the strength to become a strong and empathetic woman.
